Fire fundraiser

THERE WILL be a fundraising event in the Brandon House Hotel on Sunday, January 29, beginning at 4 p.m. The event will feature a wide range of local acts and promises to be a great night for all the family. All proceeds from the event will go towards those affected by the devastating fire at Kennedy Plaza apartment complex on the quay last Friday.  more >

Drama time in Fethard-on-Sea

THE VILLAGE Players will present their latest production in Fethard-onSea village on Sunday, January 15. The show will be staged in St. Mary’s Hall. This year’s production by the local group is a three-act comedy titled ‘Paul Twyning’. The doors will open at 7.30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. sharp.  more >

Cockleshell opening times

THE COCKLESHELL Arts Centre in Duncannon will open at 10.a.m. today, Tuesday, December 27, and will remain open for visitors until Saturday, December 31. The opening hours are 10 a.m. to 1p.m. and from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. each day. A spokesperson for the centre commented: "We wish a warm and Happy New Year to all our supporters and patrons, and we hope to see them all again in 2012".  more >

NEWBAWN PARISH Church will provide the venue for a special Christmas concert on Friday, December 2. Organised by the Parish Counsel proceeds from the event will go towards the Senior Citizens’ party.
