Parishioners show their ‘giving’ nature
PEOPLE FROM the Rosbercon area of New Ross highlighted the community spirit in the town last week.
Representatives of the Rosbercon Parish Council travelled to the Haughton Hospital where they presented residents there with gifts from their ‘giving tree’.
The ‘giving tree’ initiative is one of the most commendable projects of its type in the town.
It encourages people throughout the parish to donate a gift which then becomes part of an overall package of presents handed out to the Haughton Hospital residents.
The Parish Council expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the initiative and a particular word of thanks was given to those who helped hand out the presents.
